James is a passionate amphibian enthusiast, widely known for his work with newts in the suburban and town garden. He has nearly forty years practical hands on experience of working with our native amphibians and takes the lead in the School Visits program and helps out with the live newt displays at Organised Events across the Northwest.

Currently employed as a consultant ecologist, James is working on amphibian conservation projects across the North West of England and North Wales.
